Karliah's Parents.

Posted by BloodBondManga - February 25th, 2024

Karliah’s parents, and a lot of the village, aren’t the biggest fan of foreigners or outsiders. They’ll put up with them to trade goods and stuff but hate when they want to move to the village. They even hate foreign orphans, like Justin.

Pretty accurate behavior of how people interact with others foreign to their home land, even by today's standards. The faces in the art reminds me of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, although I can't really explain the reason as to why. The detail of the background and the attire of the characters look really amazing, and it gives us a pretty good idea on what the general time period this illustration takes place in. If this really does take place in an old time period, then it makes the behavior of Karliah's parents make a lot more sense. All in all, this is pretty cool manga styled art.

Thank you very much! The village that the first 2 volumes takes place in is a very old village that dislikes foreigners and they'd prefer to only couple with those also in the village!

The artist is a fan of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, so that's where some of the influence comes from~ The Author is inspired by Greek Mythology, God of War, and stuff like Tomie, Berserk, and more violent-ish type manga, which will show the further in we get with it!

Yeah, it takes place more in an older time period. And later on in the series, even in the modern time, all the small villages like this one are still like this, and refer/can't more into the future, like all the massive and modern looking cities that start popping up!

We really appreciate your comment! Thank you very much!
